Bolinao: Boracay of the North

Have your summer kit ready and prepare to indulge the summer feel of Boracay. Put your sunblock on, slippers ready and wear your sunglasses.

Dubbed as the Boracay of the north, Bolinao is gaining popularity to travelers who most love the sand, sea and the sun.

Get ready to take a dip.

Situated at the northwestern part of Luzon, and is 287.2 kilometers from Manila. With an estimated travelling time of five hours and 30 minutes via North Luzon Expressway, SCTEX and TPLEX. Luckily we all have this road accessible that shortened the traveling time. Especially if you only plan to have a shorter stay. A day or two is okay and it will save time.

February of 2017 when I started to plan for my next travel. I was checking different possible places that could be for a shorter layover. Checking from the North and the South of the metro. As one of my staff hails from the north, it gives me a sudden feel of excitement to hear that there are places to explore up north. Since, again am a water person so beach is always a must wherever I go.

I contacted Chie, a college friend and together we planned for a summer getaway. Though the initial plan was to go all by myself - loner lang ang peg! I forwarded three resorts, kunyari may tatlong options pero pangit talaga yung dalawa!ahahaha

We chose to stay at Sundowners Vacation Villa - for those who were asking me where the place was, ito na yun guys! You may check there website for online booking. The price is reasonable just ensure you know how to wash dishes after using so you wont be charge extra.

You may also visit Cape Bolinao Lighthouse.

You may choose to stay in Patar beach since there are plenty of good resorts that offer variety of activities such as cliff diving, island hopping among others.
